The 59^th All Japan Embukai

On Saturday, May 28^th, the fifty-ninth All Japan Enbukai was held at Nippon Budokan (National Martial Art Hall). It was held at Nippon Budokan for the first time in three years. 

This year again, the event was held with no spectators due to COVID-19, but we were able to feel a lively atmosphere all over the venue. 

Though I have been writing the same thing for the last few years, I was deeply impressed by Hiroshi Tada Sensei’s embu who will turn ninety-three years old at the end of the year, with his flexibility, quickness, great sense of timing…etc.

I am ten years younger but I received the great energy from Tada Sensei and returned Fukuoka.

I have been participating in the embukai every year since 1967 for fifty-five times in a row. 

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who has kindly cooperated with me all the time.
