Shoheijuku Newsletter January 2025
Published · Updated
Happy New Year! I hope the New year finds you in excellent spirits.
I would like to cultivate healthy body and peaceful mind through Aikido with all of you this year again.
I started practicing the Makko-ho exercise five years after I started Aikido, which is currently adopted into the Aikido preparatory exercises.
In a book I received from my Makko-ho teacher, it says “There is a doctor within our own body.” and “We have a medication within our own body.”
My hip joint and knee joints started to become stiff and hurt since last February. After an examination at a hospital, I was diagnosed with a rheumatoid arthritis.
Since then, I have been visiting the hospital for a treatment once a month. Thanks to the treatment, I am feeling less pain and I can somehow manage my everyday life and practicing Aikido now.
