Shochu Geiko – 63 Completed

Although it is September already, the extremely hot weather still continues. I hope everyone at each dojo is doing well.  

For one week before the Obon holidays, we had the annual Shochu Geiko at each Shoheijuku dojo. 63 people at ten dojos had perfect attendance this time. 

Mr. Yosuke Jozaki of Chikushino Dojo completed the Shochu Geiko this time again. He has been having perfect attendance for 46 years in a row. 

The great success is the result of accumulating efforts made every single day. That is a good example of 積小為大(Sekisho Idai).   

The number of perfect attendees at each dojo is as follows:

• Fukuoka Dojo – 12
• Tenjin Dojo – 10
• Oita Aikidokai – 9
• Takasago Dojo – 8
• Omuta Dojo – 5
• Onojo Shoheijuku – 5
• Hombu Dojo – 5
• Fujisaki Dojo – 4
• Chikushino Dojo – 3 
• Gokoku Dojo – 2

On the perfect attendance award towel this year, I wrote 花は香り人は人柄 (Fragrance for a flower, Personality for a person) that I quoted from “Words that 10000 people loved” (Chichi Publishing). It is one of my favorite words as well. Let’s cherish the meaning of the word.

Kagoshima Shoheijuku

On Saturday, August 3^rd, the 5^th anniversary event for Kagoshima Shoheijuku (Mr. Yoichi Toyokura, Dojo Rep) was held at Nishihara Shokai Arena. We had a seminar, an examination, and a celebration embukai. After that, we had a celebration party. It was a commemorating event with warm atmosphere.
