All Kyushu Student Alliance Workshop

On Saturday, July 8th at 2 pm, we had a workshop for the freshmen of the All Kyushu Student Alliance at Fukuoka Dojo. The member school directors and new students attended.

They learned the history of Aikido, individual movements, basic techniques, etc.

Thank you for coming to the workshop from all over Kyushu despite the pouring rain.

Yatsushiro Seibukan

30 People from France Participated

On Sunday, July 16th, the seminar and examination for Yatsushiro Seibukan (Mr. Tatsuo Uemura, Dojo Rep) were held at Yatsushiro City Martial Arts Hall. Many people from the dojos all over Kumamoto participated. This time, especially, 30 people from Kishinkai from France (Mr. Leo Tamaki, Dojo Rep) joined us as well. With over 80 participants, it was a very lively practice. I would like to thank the Seibukan members for accepting the last-minute request willingly.  

Kagoshima Shoheijuku

On July 17th (a public holiday), the examination and seminar for Kagoshima Shoheijuku (Mr. Yoichi Toyokura, Dojo Rep) were held at Kagoshima Prefecture Martial Arts Hall in the city. Over 70 people participated including those from Kaede Kyoreisai, Sendai Dojo, as well as some Kyushu University graduates. 

This year, we had a socializing party after the events for the first time which was an enjoyable place for mutual exchange with lively conversation.   

Harima Shoheijuku

On Saturday, July 29th, the seminar and examination for Harima Shoheijuku (Mr. Toshihiro Horiuchi, Dojo Rep) were held at Takasago City General Gymnasium. People from nine dojos from all over Kansai as well as Hiroshima and Fukuoka joined us. It was a lively seminar with full of spirit.

After the seminar, we had a party for the first time in a long time. We made a toast with cold beer and quenched our thirst, and deepen our friendship.

Shochu Geiko

Shochu geiko will be held at each Shoheijuku dojo for seven days and the last day will be August 12th. Please join us as taking care of your own health very carefully.

Obituary

Mr. Thomas Berger of Zuishokan (Switzerland) has passed away at the age of 61. May he rest in peace.
