Shoheijuku Newsletter October 2022
On Sunday, September 4th, seminar and examination for Minamata Dojo (Mr. Sumihisa Einaga, Dojo Rep) were held at Minamata City Martial Art Hall.
People from the dojos within the prefecture as well as Kagoshima and Omuta joined us. It turned out a lively seminar.
Kochi Aikido Group
On Sunday, September 11th, an examination for Kochi Aikido Group (Mr. Shigehiro Ito, Dojo Rep) was held at Ochi Town Martial Art Hall in Kochi City. Though I originally heard that about 20 people would join us, the number of participants gradually increased in the middle of the seminar, and ended up having 40 to 50 people. We especially had many elementary and junior high school students who asked many unexpected questions so it was a really fun seminar.
Kokura Kita Dojo
On September 23rd (a public holiday), a Dan-Kyu promotion examination and seminar for Kokura Kita Dojo (Mr. Shintaro Oka, Dojo Rep) were held at Kokura Kita Ju-Kendo Hall.
Mr. Tomohiro Itai, the instructor for Munakata Yurix, and Mr. Norio Nishioka, the instructor for Onga Dojo, also joined us. As many families were observing because it was a holiday, everyone was doing their best in the tense atmosphere.
On Saturday, September 24th, examination and seminar for Takayama Shinseijuku (Mr. Yoichi Toyoshima, Dojo Rep) were held at Takayama City Sports Center. I was concerned because a typhoon was approaching, I received a call early in the morning that the event would be held as originally planned so I left Fukuoka. Though there was a concern that trains might be delayed due to the typhoon, I was able to travel smoothly both on the way there and the way back thanks to a help of Mr. Masashi Hata from Nagoya Keikokai.
