Tenjin Dojo Closure

After twenty-one years of dedication since its opening in 2004, the Tenjin dojo – where our every single movement and every single word was watched over – closed its doors at the end of June.

I am deeply grateful for the role it played in watching over how we trained our body and mind over such a long time.

Throughout the years, we practiced together at Hatsu Geiko, Kagami Biraki, Kan Geiko, Shochu Geiko, examinations, and seminars. Each of these events left behind vivid memories that I will always cherish.

At the farewell embukai held on June 21, we had a joint practice in the first half, followed by a small embukai in the second. We then gathered for a farewell party at the Solaria Plaza Hotel.

Throughout the closure process, I was especially impressed by the unity and leadership shown by the Tenjin Dojo instructors. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for their dedication and hard work.

Although the Tenjin Dojo has closed, I’m confident its members will continue their practice at nearby dojos. I sincerely hope that everyone continues to value each day and live a life rich in spirit.

Thank you very much!

“A single day reflects an entire lifetime.”
